With a library of over 100 character propertiess, Work Horse Comics will become one of the world's most exciting character-based entertainment companies. Work Horse's operations will focus upon four areas: entertainment, licensing, comic book publishing and toys.

Work Horse will facilitate the creation of entertainment projects, including feature films, DVD/home video, video games, television, based on our characters, and also licenses its characters for use in a wide range of consumer products and services including apparel, collectibles, snack foods, and promotions.

Work Horse's characters and plot lines are created by its comic book division which will expand its leadership position in the U.S., and eventually worldwide, serving as an invaluable source of intellectual property. Work Horse Comics will be publishing a range of comic books that cross all genres, we are heavily focused on the development of projects and getting talented, new creators work published in the comic arena.

Work Horse Comics was founded in March 2004 by Karl Dabney, and later joined with several others. Karl serves as publisher as well as writer on Momentum, Vanguard, Platinum Age, Tantalizing Tarantula and Commando X: The Unknown Soldier, Beware Of The Guarddog, and Scarlet Scarab Strikes. We are actively trying to create a website that get people involved, to assist aspiring writers, artists, harvesting a field of imagination.

Work Horse Comic welcomes inquiries from independent comic book publishers in other countries regarding the availability of our characters for licensing and publication in other languages. In addition to a growing inventory of new full-color story material available as graphic image files, we have an extensive library of older material that we're in the process of converting into full-color graphic image formats.

Our favorite characters, BLACKWING, the WHC library also has these characters available for licensing  the Tarantula, Crypt, Team Max, Guarddog, and many more.
